Lior Rosner | World Premiere of Variations on a theme by Tchaikovsky 'Sugar Plum on the Run'

Conductor Scott Dunn and the Fresno Philharmonic will present the world premiere of Variations on a theme of Tchaikovsky "Sugar Plum on the Run" by composer Lior Rosner. The premiere will take place at the Saroyan Theater in Fresno, California on Saturday, 15 December 2018.
The new Variations were written by Rosner as an homage to the genius of Tchaikovsky. With writer Jim Lorick, he also created a story about the Sugar Plum Fairy, a character whose world famous variation is under Rosner's composer microscope in this thrilling work. This tale of the adventurous fairy can be narrated with accompaniment by a large orchestra and it is this version that will premiere on Saturday with Mark Standriff as narrator.
