Following the highly successful CD release of concertos by Edward Gregson on the Chandos label in 2003, three more concertos have recorded by the same company. On this second volume disc there are premiere recordings of his Trumpet Concerto, Concerto for Piano and Wind, and his more recent Saxophone Concerto. The soloists are Ole Edvard Antonsen (trumpet), Nelson Goerner (piano), and Nobuya Sugawa (saxophone). The BBC Philharmonic are conducted by Clark Rundell, who has conducted a number of works by the composer. This new disc will be released in July.
