This arrangement for choir and orchestra of Herbert Howells’ A Hymn for Saint Cecilia
was made in celebration of the tenth anniversary of the Music at Redeemer Series, The
Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, Bethesda, Maryland, USA, and dedicated to Thomas
P. Smith, Director of Music & Organist. It was first performed on Sunday 17 May 2015.
Any of the Horn, Trumpet or Trombone parts may be replaced or augmented by an additional
Clarinet, Oboe or Bassoon, respectively, if required.
