        Programme Note

        Commissioned by Fundación Caixa Catalunya within the framework of an exhibition of Rembrandt's engravings. Premiered 28th November 2005 at the Auditori de la Pedrera (Barcelona). The premiere was an arrangement for string quintet due to the capacity of the auditorium. Ignasi Vila on the percussion, the Ars quintet on the strings and Albert Guinovart himself played the piano. Later on premiered with a whole string orchestra.
