Programme Note
This is the first work in a series of four pieces for solo instruments and electronics. The electronics are three pre-recordings of music played in three different loudspeakers placed around the hall. The music in the loudspeakers has individual sonorities. The soloist plays with "click track”.
The live harpsichord on stage is not amplified, and there is therefore equality in sound between loudspeakers in the hall and harpsichord on stage.
The piece is dedicated to my good friend Mahan Esfahani.
