Programme Note

I was very proud when I got a commission from Bang on a Can - I not only know their music well but am also very fond of it and admire it greatly. I felt in very good and familiar company. In writing Convex/Concave/Concord naturally I wanted to write a piece that could suit the wonderful musicians of the All Stars. I would prefer not to comment on the title and form of the piece, since the title IS the form.
