The concerto is written for the French pianist Alexandre Tharaud who performed the World Premiere with the WDR Symphony Orchestra in January and who is also performing with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra for the Danish premiere this coming Thursday, October 13. Thomas Dausgaard is conducting.
